Donovan's Plan

He's intrigued by the problem presented by Druce at first:
- Engineered humans with telepathic abilities
- Created young enough to be malleable (brainwashed)
He takes the DNA Druce gives him (and that he takes from Barry) to make First
- First is the youngest clone he's ever managed to make, but he's not an infant, he's still printed
But in his investigations into First, he realizes he needs Leonard, so he prints a new Leonard
That makes him realize there's a pattern in the universe: to match villains with heroes, metahumans with humans
He wants to isolate unique genes that lead to certain qualities, including the metahuman genes
He takes his creations and runs off, hides from Druce
Makes Second from Oliver and Slade to test his theories, using CRISPR to manipulate particular abilities with telepathy
In Coast City, he wanted to be captured by Flash because he didn't want to make a Hunter army for Druce anymore. He wants to fix the world

Donovan's Timeline

		2020 : After living through linear time from 2017, he's perfected First and Leonard
			: Kidnaps Oliver and Slade to make Second
			: Barry arrives to rescue them
			: Donovan goes to Arkham because he knows he needs to 
			: Druce comes to break him out, but Donovan kills him, with Barry and Leonard there

So, in Arkham, there are two separate timelines happening at the same time. Upstairs, it's the second time around, with Donovan killing Druce. Downstairs is the first round, with Druce and Donovan working together.
